Coaches are available by phone or online, so all members have access to these programs no matter where you live. Your information is confidential and may not be viewed by anyone other than the health center team.+

Five Ways to Connect with a Health Coach* 

  1. Call or email one of the coaches below;
  2. Call (855) 200-6822 and ask for a health coaching appointment;
  3. During an appointment with a Montana Health Center provider, ask to be referred to a health coach. 
  4. Attend a wellness presentation or invite a coach to your workplace.  Click HERE to learn more.
  5. Schedule with a health coach online using the bulleted instructions below.

Instructions For Scheduling a Health Coaching Appointment Online 

  • Click www.CareHere.com, select Member Login, and log in with your Username and Password.
  • Click on Appointments.
  • Click on "Schedule Appointment" under Health Coaching.
  • Click on a date or date range for your appointment.
  • Select the drop-down menu next to “What.”
  • Select Health Coaching.
  • Choose your Montana Health Center next to "Where."
  • Select Make Appointment.
  • Select how you would like to be reminded of your appointment by selecting the drop-down menu next to “How would you like to be reminded of your appointment?”  Click on “Confirm Appointment.”  You may also call (855) 200-6822 for assistance with registering.  

*If you live outside a health center area, you can either travel to a health center to visit one of the Health Center health coaches in-person, or you can contact our Wellness Program Manager to access a health coach via telephone.

Nutrition

Michelle Deitsch is a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Nutritionist, and Certified Health Coach for CareHere. She has experience in a variety of clinical and non-clinical areas of nutrition and wellness, including diet management of patients with genetic disorders, corporate wellness, and personal chef services. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Montana State University in Bozeman. She is recognized through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Certified Exercise Physiologist and enjoys working with people on all aspects of adopting and maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle.

Rachel Anderson is a Registered Dietitian and licensed nutritionist for CareHere in the Billings area. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and has been a registered dietitian since 2003.  She has experience working with the Women Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Great Falls and Billings and she has case management and home visiting experience. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor.

Rachel enjoys a variety of activities including skiing, hiking, cycling, and group fitness classes, and feels exercise and nutrition are both important for a healthy lifestyle.

Exercise 

Paul Campbell, MS, NASM-CPT, graduated with his Master's Degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in Stevens Point, WI.  He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and holds certification as a Lifestyle Coach through the Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center (DTTAC). Since 2010, he has trained and coached professional athletes, children, and those with chronic conditions including spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, cardiovascular disease, autism, and diabetes.

Jacque Currie is a Certified Health Education Specialist.  She graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Community Health.

She has completed numerous races including 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and sprint distance triathlons.  She believes leading an active lifestyle is easier when you are having fun.

Behavior

Laura Gowen

Laura Gowen is a Behavioral Health and Tobacco Cessation Coach for CareHere patients. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University in Missoula. Laura is a Certified Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Laura has worked in the mental health field for 10 years, providing care to children and families in community and residential programs throughout Montana. She volunteers with the Crisis Response Team to provide services and support to those experiencing mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts or any other disruption to daily life.  

Director of Health Initiatives

Margy Bartley is the Director of Health Initiatives for CareHere. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and has been a Certified Group Exercise instructor for 26 years (YMCA and American Council on Exercise (ACE)), is an ACE-Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist, and an Integrated Fitness Trainer. Margy is a graduate of The Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching Program, a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and a Certified International Health Coach. She is a Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer through American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Center on Health, Physical Activity, and Disability (NCHPAD).  She is also certified through the YMCA of the USA in Get Real Weight Management, Movement for the Inactive, and Nutrition and Exercise for Weight Management. Margy has worked with youth and senior fitness programs, which included arthritis therapy classes and cardiac recovery programs. She has also coached a marathon training program.

Wellness Nurse

Shannon Bristow is a Registered Nurse working as a health and wellness coach at Carehere. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Registered Nursing. Shannon has worked in the Helena community with a primary focus in direct patient care in the clinic setting, with a focus on disease process, lab values, nutrition and medication counseling to patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension.

She is excited to be a part of the Carehere team and help provide members of the community ongoing support and guidance as they set their goals and make changes to improve health and well-being.  

For State of Montana Plan Members 

Kim Pullman, RD, LN Do you have questions about Wellness Programs available to State of Montana Benefit Plan members? Do you need health coaching, but don't live near a Montana Health Center? Contact Kim!

Kim is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and the Wellness Program Manager for the State of Montana, Health Care and Benefits Division. She is the Chair of Eat Right Montana (ERM) Coalition and the Newsletter Editor for the Montana Dietetic Association (MDA), and also teaches group fitness classes at a local fitness facility.

In her position as Wellness Manager, Kim manages the State of Montana Healthy Employee Lifestyle Program (SOMHELP) for more than 14,000 State of Montana employees. The program includes health screenings, healthy living challenges, Lunch and Learn events, and health management programs. She also provides individual coaching and counseling sessions for plan members.

She has past experience with the Child Nutrition Programs and early childhood programs. Kim welcomes opportunities to partner with other organizations, programs and groups to promote the health and well-being of all Montanans.
