Unlike other centers operated by the State's contractor CareHere in locations around the state, this health center will operate in conjunction with Community Hospital of Anaconda and the Pintler Family Medicine East practice.  

The Anaconda Health Center will offer primary care services, chronic disease management, and health coaching at no cost to State of Montana Benefit Plan (State Plan) members at the Pintler Family Medicine East office at 1102 E. Commercial St.  State employees can call 855-200-6822 or visit to schedule an appointment at this new Montana Health Center.

Dr. Shawna Baker, M.D. specializes in Family Medicine with Obstetrics
and graduated from the University of Calgary in Calgary, AB in 1993 with her
Medical Degree.  She completed her Internship and Residency in Family Medicine
at Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, AB between 1994 and 1995.  In 1996,
Dr. Baker completed her Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University
of Alberta Department of Family Medicine in Edmonton, AB and her Fellowship
in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Sturgeon Community Health Center in 
St. Albert, AB.  She is Board Certified with the American Board of Family
Medicine and a member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians.  
Additionally, Dr. Baker is the Chief of Staff at Community Hospital of Anaconda.


Dr. Kira Conn, MD graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Montana State
University in Bozeman, MT in 2008.  From there, she obtained her Medical Degree
from University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine in Aurora, CO in 2012.  She
completed both her Internship and Residency in Family Medicine at Montana Family
Medicine Residency Program with Riverstone Health in Billings between 2013 and 2015.
Dr. Conn is Board-Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.  


Dr. Hunter Crose, MD specializes in Family Medicine and graduated with his Bachelor’s 
Degree in 1992 from the University of the South in Sewanee,TN.  He then attended the 
Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC where he graduated with his 
Medical Degree in 2001.  Dr. Crose completed his Residency at Mountain Area Health 
Education Center in Asheville, NC in 2004.  He is Board-Certified with the American
Board of Family Practice.


Nurse Practitioner

Cynthia Reed, FNP-C graduated from Valencia Community College with an Associate of Science in Nursing degree in Orlando, FL in 1981.  She then acquired her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at Boise State University in Boise, ID in 2008.  In 2010, she acquired her Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner Degree at Oregon Health and Science University.  Cynthia is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and specializes in Family Medicine. 


Cy Schaefer, APRN, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Montana State University in Bozeman in 1993.  He acquired his Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA in 2004.  Cy specializes in Internal and Family Medicine and is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
