Dr. David Chamberlain, MD 

Dr. Chamberlain is a specialist physician trained to apply scientific knowledge and clinical experience to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of adults.  He provides comprehensive services from the promotion of health and wellness to palliative care.  Dr. Chamberlain manages acute illness, as well as, severe chronic disease. He is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of complex multi-system disorders.  Dr. Chamberlain has been in private practice in Butte, Montana since 2000.  His practice also includes clinical research and teaching medical students.  Additionally, he provides inpatient hospitalization services.  Dr. Chamberlain has been a speaker at The American College of Physicians conference in Big Sky, Montana. 
Friends acknowledge that Dr. Chamberlain has a beautiful fly cast, but question his claim to have never exaggerated the size or number of fish caught.  When not on the rivers he is often found mountain biking, climbing Buttes granite crags, or cutting powder on the backside.

Seth Cornell, MD

Dr. Cornell is an Internal Medicine physician who provides services to patients 18 years old and older.  He was born and raised in Butte, Montana.  Immediately following his graduation from Butte High School, Dr. Cornell enlisted in the U.S. Army as a light infantryman.  He later completed his undergraduate training at Montana State University and medical school at the University of Colorado.  He returned to active duty as a commissioned officer and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.  After serving as the Chief of Medical Residents, he practiced adult primary care and hospitalist medicine at Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, CO.  He returned to civilian life in 2017 and moved back to Butte.  Prior to joining the CareHere team he worked as a primary care physician at the Veteran’s Health Administration clinic in Helena, MT.

Dr. Cornell believes in patient centered medical care and is a strong proponent of patient education and preventative medicine.  He states, “I look forward to serving the patients of CareHere, building long-term relationships, and working with each patient to address their individual needs and goals in a tailored, holistic manner”.

Jeanne Mehrens, PA


Jeanne graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula in 2001 with Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology. She completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Rocky Mountain College in 2006 and has been working in Internal Medicine in a small Butte clinic since that time.  Jeanne was born and raised in Anaconda, MT and currently reside there with her family.  She is happy to continue providing health care services in the Butte area.  


Kathleen Hunthausen, NP-C

Kathleen Hunthausen is a Montana native, raised in the Helena area and a graduate of Carroll College.  She received her Master’s Degree in nursing education and a Post-Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner while living in Boise, Idaho.  Kathleen is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  She was a School Health Nurse for 24 years in the East Helena, Helena, and Boise, Idaho School Districts, and thoroughly enjoy seeing patients of all ages.  She has two grown children and six grandchildren.  She is thrilled to be with CareHere and the Montana Health Center.

 

Debra Burleigh Gilbert, NP

Debra Burleigh is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to working at the Montana Health Center in Helena, Debra worked three years as a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Room at Benefis Health Systems in Great Falls. Also during that time, she worked at the Indian Family Health Center as the Clinic Director/Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice. Debra earned her Post-Master's Degree from Gonzaga University in 2010 and her Master's of Nursing in Health Systems Management from Loyola University in 2007. During this time she also taught Nursing at the University of Montana. Debra and her husband have one child, who is in her second year of college. Debra’s interests in medicine include family practice, urgent care and teaching clients about disease processes and how to improve their health. 

Amber Edwards, FNP-C

Amber Edwards was born and raised in beautiful Southwestern Montana.  She has been blessed to have nearly 25 years of nursing experience and is proud of her hard work through the ranks, starting her career as an environmental aid at a local nursing home while in high school.  She later earned her LPN at Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) and her ADN at South Western Community College (SWICC).  After working for several years as a registered nurse, she earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing at Gonzaga University.  Most of her career has been dedicated to working with indigent populations. In her free time Amber can be found curled up with a good book, baking comfort food, or spending time skiing, kayaking, camping, or barbequing with wonderful friends.
